Joe - Bass, vocals and sound engineering

Joe was born and raised in the St Louis, Mo. He spent his teen years listening to the music of the 60’s and those oldies from the 50s.  He didn’t get into playing until the mid 70s, when he was stationed in Plattsburgh, NY, and friends got him into playing bass in a blue grass band. From there he couldn’t stop. Working part time repairing equipment in a music store also allowed Joe to feed his desire for equipment, and learn from the musicians who frequented the store.

The 80s brought a move to Albany, NY and playing top 40 tunes in female fronted rock bands.  Joe played the (then) current hits from Pat Benetar, Blondie, The Pretenders,  and the popular New Wave bands of the time.  The late 80s evolved into a resurgence of Southern Rock from the 70s, and he spent time playing (loudly) Skynard, Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws and others.

Over the years Joe accumulated enough sound gear that if he wasn’t playing with a band he was supplying a sound system for a band.  From the late 80s thru the 90s he supplied sound for Southern Rock, Hard Rock, Punk Rock, Top 40 and even Country Western Bands on a regular basis.

The new millennium brought the desire to get back into playing, and Joe spent the first decade playing in an acoustic trio, doing the lighter rock sounds of the 60s, 70s 80s and 90s.  Looking to get back to the sounds he grew up with, Joe was provided with the opportunity to work with Betsy and the ByeGons, and start a new chapter in his musical career.
